Christine's Singing - Koo Wee Rup
Based in Koo Wee Rup, Christine, an experienced teacher and performer, offers lessons for students of all ages and levels in singing, piano and flute.
Christine's Singing offers private lessons designed to develop each students unique skills and abilities. Classically trained, Christine helps students with technique to help them develop their own personal style.
Christine, with extensive choral experience, is also available to conduct community and school choirs in the local area.
Christine has been singing from the age of 12 when she started with the Australian Children’s Choir. Christine has been a long standing member of the Choral Institute of Melbourne and has performed in numerous amateur stage productions including Nova’s 1995 production of ‘The Sound of Music’ playing the part of the Mother Superior and the Elder Conservatorium of Music’s 1993 production of ‘Orpheus et Eurydice’ in the role of L’Opinion. Christine completed a Bachelor of Music in 2004 at the Australia Catholic University majoring in Voice and Choral Conducting and followed this up with a Graduate Diploma of Education in 2005.Christine has performed in the backing choir for the likes of John Farnham and Andrea Bocelli and has been a performer at many special events around Victoria including 150th Birthday Celebrations of Victoria, the Bushfire Day of Mourning in 2009, and as a regular with the Australian Christmas Choir at Crown Casino’s Christmas Light Spectacular.
Christine has been teaching singing for the past 14 years with a focus on good breathing technique and vocal health and loves to encourage in her students a ‘love of learning’ and a‘passion for music’.
